HOW TO CALCULATE YOUR GRADE POINT AVERAGE

Each letter grade is worth the following grade points:

A = 4

AB = 3.5

B = 3

BC = 2.5

C = 2

CD = 1.5

D = 1

F = 0

  To calculate the grade point you will receive for ONE class, multiply the number of credits attempted by the number assigned to the grade (for example, if you get an “A” in a 3 credit course, you would multiply 3 (credits) by 4 (grade points) for a total of 12 grade points.

  To calculate a semester grade point for all classes:

  • Add the course points from all classes
  • Divide the course point total by the number of credits attempted during the semester.
