Stratton Named WIAC Player of the Week and Selected to D3hoops.com Team of the Week

Madison, Wis. – UW-La Crosse junior guard Trevor Stratton of Wisconsin Rapids (Lincoln) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday. He has also been named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Stratton is one of five players named to the national honor.
Stratton averaged 27.5 points in two contests last week. He scored a then career-high 27 points in a 92-86 loss at No. 9-ranked UW-Whitewater, finishing eight-of-15 from the field (two-of-five from three-point range) and nine-of-10 at the line. Stratton also had seven rebounds, two steals and one assist.
He then finished with a career-high 28 points in an 83-69 win over UW-Stout, going 11-of-14 from the field (five-of-seven from three-point range). Stratton also had four rebounds, three assists and one steal.
For the week, he was 19-of-29 (65.5%) from the field, including 7-of-12 (58.3%) from three-point range, and 10-of-11 (90.9%) at the line.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 14 hosting sixth-ranked UW-Platteville at 7 p.m.
