UW-L Falls to UW-Stevens Point in Home Finale; Dembski Wins Two Events

La Crosse, Wis. - The UW-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team fell 155-88 to UW-Stevens Point in dual action Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall in the Eagles' final home meet of the season. UW-L drops to 2-1 on the season.
Justin Dembski earned two individual wins Saturday, capturing the 500 (4:48.28) and 1,000 (9:56.38) freestyle.
The Eagles' Matt Diehl won the 200 I.M. (1:59.48) while Tanner Classon took the 3-meter diving competition (231.00 points). Classon was also second in the 1-meter competition (210.70). UW-L's Trey Edgerle was second in the 3-meter diving (215.20).
Spencer Loch recorded second-place finishes in the 50 (21.79) and 100 (47.89) freestyle Saturday while Kurt Zehel was second in the 1,000 freestyle (10:24.78) and third in the 200 butterfly (2:07.01).
UW-L's Grayson Hoffmann finished third in the 200 backstroke (2:03.57) and Chad Martin was third in the 200 breaststroke (2:18.90).
The Eagles' 400 medley and 400 freestyle relays both finished third. Casey Borden, Diehl, Peter Szotkowski and Simon Weisse were third in the 400 medley relay (3:41.03) while Dembski, Jared Krueger, Hoffmann and finColin Schmidtished third in the 400 freestyle relay (3:18.50).
