UW-L Competes at Schlender Last Chance Meet; Novak Qualifies in Shot Put

Whitewater, Wis. - The UW-La Crosse men's track & field team competed at the Karl Schlender Last Chance Meet Friday night at UW-Whitewater. No team scores were kept.

The Eagles' Andy Novak placed third in the shot put (51-5 1/2) and provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships.

In the pole vault, Jeremiah Burish tied for fourth (15-3 3/4) while Jason Prochnow and Erik Moser tied for ninth (14-10).

UW-L's Luke Crowley finished fifth in the weight throw (51-9 1/4) while Aaron Johnson was sixth (51-2 1/4).

On the track, Jamar Jackson placed 10th in the 55-meter hurdles (8.35).

UW-L returns to action Saturday, March 7 at the UW-Stevens Point Last Chance Meet.
