Hunter Named WIAC Player of the Week

Madison, Wis. UW-La Crosse senior forward Mackenzie Hunter of Eau Claire (Regis) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.
Hunter was named the MVP of the Wildwood Lodge Tip-Off Tournament at Concordia University-St. Paul (Minn.). She averaged 26.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 steals and 2.5 assists in two contests, while shooting 54.8% from the field and 17-of-17 at the free throw line.
Hunter scored 27 points with a career-high 11 rebounds in UW-La Crosse's 87-73 victory over NCAA Division II Bemidji State University (Minn.) November 21. She scored her 1,000th career point in the game and after finishing with 26 points in an 82-60 loss to NCAA II Concordia University-St. Paul November 22, she now has 1,044 points. Hunter ranks 13th in school history in scoring.
UW-L returns to action Tuesday, November 25 hosting city-rival Viterbo University at 6 p.m.
