UW-L Wins Griak Invite; Williams Places Eighth Overall

Minneapolis, Minn. – The UW-La Crosse women's cross country team captured the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday afternoon at the University of Minnesota. The Eagles finished with 98 team points while UW-Oshkosh was second with 112 and UW-Eau Claire third with 117. Bethel University, Minn. placed fourth (136) and Wartburg College (Iowa) fifth (154).

Carleton College, Minn. was sixth (174) followed by University of St. Thomas, Minn. (176), Luther College, Iowa (266), Emory University, Ga. (278) and UW-Platteville (312) to round-out the top-10.

Katelynn Williams was UW-L's top runner, placing eighth overall with a time of 23:01.65 on the 6,000-meter course. Stephanie Perleberg was 12th (23:12.80) while Alison Kolinski finished 21st (23:30.65) and Karyn Genrich 22nd (23:32.65).

The Eagles' Meghan Dugan finished 35th overall (23:55.20) while Kriston Siemianowski was 49th (24:10.45).
