UW-L Wins St. Olaf Invite; Johnson and Moss Finish in Top-10

Northfield, Minn. – The UW-La Crosse women's cross country team captured the St. Olaf Invitational Saturday afternoon in Northfield. The Eagles finished with 53 team points while St. Olaf was second with 67 and the University of Minnesota-Duluth third with 73. Minnesota State, Mankato placed fourth (101) and Winona (Minn.) State University fifth (112). A total of 13 teams competed.

The Eagles' Megan Johnson and Lauren Moss recorded top-10 finishes Saturday. Johnson placed seventh with a time of 23:24 on the 6,000-meter course while Moss was ninth at 23:35.

UW-L's Katelynn Williams finished 11th (23:44) while Kristina Bennwitz was 12th (23:48), Alison Kolinski 14th (23:57), Michelle Horn 16th (24:03), Stephanie Perleberg 18th (24:05) and Zoe Browne 19th (24:06).

Other runners placing in the top-50 included: Ellen Kumm 22nd (24:17), Kriston Siemianowski 28th (24:40), Rachel Boldt 31st (24:43), Courtney Rucker 34th (24:46), Mary Olson 40th (25:02), Jenna Buss 45th (25:11), Whitney Nefstead 46th (25:14) and Kelsey Bauer 50th (25:26).
