Augustana Earns Shutout Win over UW-L

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team fell 1-0 to Augustana College (Ill.) Sunday afternoon in a non-conference match-up at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.

UW-L falls to 1-2-1 overall while Augustana improves to 5-0. The Vikings have not allowed a goal in their first five matches.

Taylor Moesle notched her fourth goal of the season at 70:14 with an assist from Lauren Polock.

Augustana outshot UW-L, 36-8, including 21-2 on shots on goal. The Eagles' Sagan Pizzingrilli recorded 20 saves while the Vikings' Kayla Radloff had two.

This was the first-ever meeting between the teams.

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 16 at UW-Platteville beginning at 7 p.m.
