UW-L Falls at Carleton in Non-Conference Match

Northfield, Minn. - The UW-La Crosse soccer team fell 2-0 at Carleton College Wednesday afternoon in a non-conference match-up. The Eagles fall to 2-4-1 while the Knights improve to 3-4-1 on the season.

Carleton scored a pair of first half goals, including Cassie Burke's second goal of the season at 17:19. Emma Dobbins had the assist.

The Knights made it 2-0 at 26:03 as Linnea Carlson scored with an assist from Zoe Suche. It was also Carlson's second goal of the year.

Carleton outshot UW-L, 14-8, but both teams finished with six shots on goal. The Eagles' Lindsay Wilde had three shots on goal.

Sagan Pizzingrilli recorded four saves for UW-L while Kate Trenerry had six for Carleton.

UW-L returns to action Saturday, Sept. 26 hosting Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) opponent UW-River Falls at 4 p.m.
