UW-L Falls at Chicago; Pizzingrilli Records Six Saves

Chicago, Ill. - The UW-La Crosse women's soccer squad fell 3-0 at the University of Chicago Saturday afternoon at Stagg Field. The Eagles drop to 4-11-1 on the season while the Maroons improve to 12-2-1. Chicago is ranked 15th in this week's National Soccer Coaches Association of America Division III Poll.
Chicago had a pair of first half goals to lead 2-0. Brooke Bontz scored her 10th goal of the season at 11:32 to make it 1-0 while Brigette Kragie notched her first goal of the year at 40:11 with an assist from Kate Manuelli.
The Maroons' Haleigh Stopa scored her second goal of the year at 78:15 for the 3-0 final margin.
Chicago outshot UW-L, 17-6. The Eagles' Sagan Pizzingrilli recorded six saves while the Maroons' Emma Gormley had three.
UW-L wraps up its season Wednesday, Oct. 28 at Carroll University (Wis.) at 5 p.m.
