Hall Scores Winning Goal in Final Minutes

St. Peter, Minn. - Chelsea Hall scored at 88:41 to give the UW-La Crosse soccer team a 2-1 victory at Gustavus Adolphus College Wednesday afternoon in St. Peter. It was Hall's third goal of the season. Erin Wilson recorded the assist. The Eagles, playing their first road match of the year, improve to 4-2-1 overall. Gustavus Adolphus drops to 1-3-2 on the season.
UW-L took a 1-0 lead at 40:29 as Cayla Duffy scored her first goal of the year with assists from Heidi Hager and Amy Warren. The Eagles led 1-0 at intermission.
Gustavus Adolphus tied it at 1-1 at 68:02 as Chelsea Craven scored with an assist from Meghan McMillan before Hall's match-winning goal in the final minutes of the contest.
The Gusties outshot the Eagles, 15-8, including 9-4 on shots on goal. Amanda Clark, who was named the WIAC Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday, recorded eight saves for UW-L while Ashley Ohlson finished with one for Gustavus Adolphus.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, September 20 at UW-River Falls at 2 p.m.
