UW-L and St. Thomas Battle to Tie

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team finished in a 1-1 double overtime tie with the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) Sunday afternoon at Fields for Kids.
UW-L is now 3-2-1 on the season while St. Thomas is 4-0-2.
After a scoreless first half, the Eagles' Erin Wilson scored her first goal of the season at 55:35 with assists from Sara McClellan and Chelsea Gilbertson. The Tommies tied the match at 1-1 at 72:27 on a goal from Abie Krause assisted by Kirsten Moran.
St. Thomas outshot UW-L, 27-11, including 9-3 in overtime.
Amanda Clark recorded 10 saves for UW-L while Allie Byron had two for St. Thomas.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, September 17 at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) at 4 p.m.
