Warren and Hall Score Twice to Lead UW-L to Road Win

Superior, Wis. - Amy Warren and Chelsea Hall each scored two goals as the UW-La Crosse soccer team earned its first Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) win of the season with a 7-0 victory at UW-Superior Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2 in the WIAC while the Yellowjackets fall to 0-6 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Warren got UW-L on the board at 4:18 with an assist from Jessica Liban. The Eagles tallied four more goals in opening half to lead 5-0. Carli Gustafson made it 2-0 at 15:14 and Lindsay Wilde scored at 20:04 for a 3-0 lead. Jamie Wiepz assisted on both goals.
Hall then scored her goals at 26:57 and 30:08. Wilde had an assist on the first goal.
UW-L's Sarah Joost scored at 50:54 with an assist from Taylor Baker to make it 6-0 and Warren finished the scoring at 75:50 on an unassisted goal.
The Eagles outshot the Yellowjackets, 33-3, including 22-2 shots on goal. Sagan Pizzingrilli and Emily Wick combined on the shutout for UW-L. Each player had one save.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Sept. 23 at Carleton College (Minn.) starting at 4 p.m.
