UW-L Falls at Seventh-Ranked Wartburg

Waverly, Iowa - The UW-La Crosse soccer team dropped a 1-0 non-conference match at Wartburg College Tuesday night. The Eagles fall to 2-8-1 overall while the Knights improve to 10-0-1.
Wartburg, ranked seventh on the d3soccer.com Top-25 Poll, continued its current unbeaten streak to 25 straight matches without a loss (23-0-2).
The Knights' Anne Fangman scored her second goal of the season at 33:49 with an assist from Kaylee Benning for the only goal of the match.
Wartburg outshot UW-L, 13-6, including 7-1 on shots on goal. The Knights' Christina Ernst finished with one save while the Eagles' Sagan Pizzingrilli recorded six saves.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, Oct. 10 hosting UW-Stout at 3 p.m.
