UW-L Records Victory at UW-Oshkosh

Oshkosh, Wis. - The UW-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team earned an 184-53 dual victory at UW-Oshkosh Friday night in Albee Hall.

The Eagles took both relays Friday as Jennifer Bryson, Melissa Klotz, Clare Hathaway and Brianna Peyer won the 400 medley relay (4:10.56) and Hannah Bucholtz, Eva Clemens, Katelyn Hartung and Lauren Kaiser the 400 freestyle relay (3:48.17).

Individually, Hartung won the 100 (54.93) and 200 (1:59.89) freestyle for UW-L while Anita Talavera captured the 1,000 freestyle (11:00.72) and placed second in the 100 freestyle (56.88). The Eagles' Ellie Werner was second in the 1,000 freestyle (11:04.91).

UW-L took the top-three places in the 50 freestyle and 200 I.M. Peyer finished first (25.49), Hathaway second (25.89) and Clemens third (26.38) in the 50 freestyle while Bryson won the 200 I.M. (2:19.42) with Maria Krisch second (2:19.99) and Rebecca Krug third (2:26.79).

Hathaway also captured the 500 freestyle (5:30.15).

Emily Christopherson won the 100 breaststroke (1:12.77) while placing second in the 200 backstroke (1:05.43). Kaiser was third in the 100 backstroke (1:05.60) and Bucholtz third in the 100 freestyle (56.96).

Emily Schweitz finished second (1:13.50) and Krug third (1:13.89) in the 100 breaststroke.

In diving, Rachael LaValley took the 1-meter competition (241.65 points) while Shannon Doyle won the 3-meter (214.75). LaValley was second in the 3-meter (208.40). Samantha Koch placed second in the 1-meter (221.25) and third in the 3-meter (195.55) for UW-L while Kelly Schippers was third in the 1-meter (205.05).
