Genthe Named WIAC Field Athlete of the Week

Madison, Wis. - UW-La Crosse junior Katlin Genthe of Menomonee Falls (H.S.) has been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

Genthe finished second in the pole vault at the Wisconsin Badger Open Feb. 21 with an NCAA Division III automatic qualifying mark of 12-3 1/2. Her performance was a lifetime best and ranks at the fourth-best in the country this year.

UW-L returns to action Saturday, Feb. 28 at the WIAC Indoor Championships at UW-Stout.
