UW-L Falls at UW-Whitewater

Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell 3-0 (19-25, 10-25, 13-25) at 10th-ranked UW-Whitewater Wednesday night in a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) match. The Eagles drop to 4-13 overall and 1-3 in the WIAC while the Warhawks improve to 14-4 overall and 2-2 in the league.

UW-Whitewater is ranked 10th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll.

Liz Schlobohm led UW-L with seven kills while tying for the team lead with eight assists. Katie Kaufman also had eight assists. Brianne Stankus and Melany Vanden Langenberg each added four kills for the Eagles, which hit .087 as a team.

Melannie Tate and Stankus each finished with 15 digs Wednesday night.

Caitlin Hogan led UW-Whitewater with 10 kills while Katy Krajnak finished with eight. Alyse Karls had a match-high 26 assists as the Warhawks hit. 216 as a team.

Alyssa Bauer had 17 digs and Keri Klotzbuecher 13 for UW-Whitewater.

UW-L returns to action Wednesday, Oct. 7 hosting number-one ranked UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m.
