UW-L Falls at UW-Platteville in Conference Play

Platteville, Wis. – The UW-La Crosse volleyball team dropped a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) match with a 3-1 (14-25, 30-28, 8-25, 20-25) loss at UW-Platteville Wednesday night.

The Eagles fall to 4-18 overall and 1-5 in the WIAC whle the Pioneers improve to 15-7 overall and 3-2 in the conference.

Brianne Stankus led UW-L with 14 kills while Katie Gunderson finished with 10. Liz Schlobohm recorded 31 assists as the Eagles hit .110 as a team.

Melannie Tate had a match-high 26 digs.

Briana Kaiser led UW-Platteville with 16 kills while Melissa Hillebrand added 14. Ali Sikic tallied 45 assists. The Pioneers hit .215 overall.

Leslie White recorded 21 digs and Abby Carey added 19.

UW-L returns to action Friday, Oct. 16 hosting UW-Stout at 7 p.m.
