A fun, informal mentoring program matches you with an
Academic Staff in the Know
Academic staff with some longevity agree to be a mentor to new staff for the first 24 months. Those ‘in the know’ could answer questions like:
· How do I access childcare services, event tickets or professional development grants?
· What programs are available for employee wellness and exercise on campus?
· When and how can I progress in the UW system through evaluations and title changes?
· Where can I contribute my leadership skills on campus and in the community?
· Where do I go off campus for restaurants with Chinese, Mexican or vegetarian food?
New staff seeking a mentor should email acstaff@uwlax.edu. We will match you with a staff member that is in the know.
