We are excited to welcome you to campus in June for Freshman Registration and Family Orientation! The 2014 Freshman Registration dates are June 9, 11, 13, 16, 18, 20 and 23. You must sign-up for a date prior to attending the event.
Freshman Registration and Family Orientation information was mailed on Tuesday, May 6 to all new freshmen who submitted the $100 enrollment deposit.
Items we mailed to incoming new freshmen who submitted the $100 enrollment deposit:
You will need to login to your WINGS Student Center account, and follow the instructions on page two of the Freshman Registration and Family Orientation program. If you are having trouble logging into WINGS, please reset your password. Please note: you will need to use the email address you indicated when you applied to UW-La Crosse. Within WINGS, you will need to select the Freshman Registration link.
If a date is not listed as an option, that means we have reached the maximum number of students we can accommodate, and the date is no longer available to attend. Date sign-up occurs on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attending Freshman Registration and Family Orientation is required. Please make sure to arrange your schedule so that you can sign-up and attend one of the seven dates available in June. If there is an unavoidable situation that prevents you from attending Freshman Registration and Family Orientation, please call the Admissions Office at 608.785.8939 by May 31.
Please review the Regional Placement Testing information. To make sure we receive your scores in time for Freshman Registration and Family Orientation, take the Regional Placement Tests by June 1.
While we welcome family members to this event, only you (the student) are required to attend.
When you sign-up for a Freshman Registration and Family Orientation date, you will have the opportunity to change your major on the survey. If you made this decision after you signed up for a Freshman Registration & Family Orientation date, call 608.785.8939 to make the change. By informing the Admissions Office of your decision prior to arriving at Freshman Registration & Family Orientation, the check-in materials you receive when you arrive will be accurate.
Prepare for the day by reading through all of the materials we mailed you regarding Freshman Registration and Family Orientation. The Freshman Registration and Family Orientation program includes a section on how to prepare for the day (page 1), what items to bring with you (page 2) and the schedule of the day (page 4). Additional preparation information can be found through the Academic Advising Center.
The Beginning College Survey of Student Engagement (BCSSE) is being used by our campus to better understand our new students as they begin their journey. This survey will help our staff and advisors assist you by having information about the kinds of learning activities you experienced in high school and your expectations for your first year at UW-La Crosse. The survey is voluntary. It will take 15-20 minutes to complete. For more information or questions about our use of the survey, please contact, Dr. Patrick Barlow, University Assessment Coordinator, email@example.com, 608-785-6867. View more information about the survey.
