At UW-La Crosse we have made the commitment to excellence.
All of our efforts are designed to promote outstanding teaching, superior scholarship and effective service. That includes our efforts to inform, promote and communicate through the written word and visual image.
Information provided in these pages establishes procedures and policies which will enhance the university's publications and help us send clear, consistent messages to our external publics.
The guide explains the role and services provided by the Publications Office. University personnel planning any kind of printed piece for off-campus dissemination should seek out the editing and designing services offered by this office.
Visual identity standards are another important area outlined
in this guide. These standards govern the use of the official
university logo, wordmark and other official emblems. The standards
were created for one very simple reason - to provide clear, consistent
graphic and editorial presentations of UW-La Crosse to our off-campus
constituencies. Consistent messages amplify our visibility and
help us tell the UW-L story to prospective students, parents,
alumni, donors, the La Crosse
community, business leaders and state legislators.
Applying the policies and procedures spelled out in this guide will benefit UW-La Crosse as a whole and make it more widely recognized as the superb academic community of quality and diversity that we know it to be.
