Mark H. Gibson, MSEd, MS, ATC, LAT, PT
Director, Undergraduate Athletic Training Program
Mark
is the Director of the CAATE-accredited undergraduate athletic training
program a position that he has held since 1993. Mark served as
Head Athletic Trainer at UW-La Crosse from 1985 to 1993.
Mark earned his bachelor's degree in Health Education / Athletic Training from Slippery Rock University in 1980. He then attended Southern Illinois University-Carbondale where he earned his Master of Science degree in Education-Physical Education / Athletic Administration in 1981. Mark returned for further studies to the University of Indianapolis from 1991-1993 where he earned his Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy.
Mark currently serves the National Athletic Trainers' Associaton (NATA) as District IV Director on the NATA Board of Directors. He has held leadership positions in the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers' Association (WATA) and was the President of the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA).
Mark is originally from Avon, New York in western New York. Known as the Finger Lakes region, it is very similar to the rolling hills of southwest Wisconsin. He has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 1980 and a licensed Physical Therapist since 1994. He and his wife Barbara have three children, Kelli, Kyle and Katherine.

Scott Doberstein, MS, ATC, LAT, CSCS

Scott
joined the professional staff in August 1998 after graduating from UW-L
in 1987 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education-Athletic Training
and School Health Education. After student teaching Health at West Bend
West High School, he received his Master of Science degree in Exercise
Science at Eastern Illinois University in 1989. For the next nine years,
Scott was the Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Professor at Millikin
University in Decatur, IL. In addition to his athletic and
teaching duties, he was the strength coach and the drug education
coordinator. In 1998, he returned to his alma mater with his
family (wife Caryl, daughters Kylie and Kami, and son, Kellan).
His duties at UW-L include teaching courses in anatomy, injury evaluation, therapeutic modalities, as well as, supervising athletic training students and providing event coverage. His hobby is officiating college women's basketball - on his spare time.
Scott grew up in Germantown, WI, and has been a certified athletic trainer since 1987 and a certified strength and conditioning specialist since 1993. Scott is a member of the NATA, GLATA, WATA, and NSCA.

Cordial Gillette, MS, ATC, LAT
Assistant Athletic Trainer / Clinical Coordinator / Lecturer
Cordial
joined the athletic training staff in 2003 as assistant athletic
trainer. Her responsibilities include athletic training duties
with women's gymnastics along with coordinating student clinical
experiences and teaching various classes, labs, and clinical courses.
Cordial is an alumni of UW-L (B.S.) and received her master's from
UW-Madison. Before returning to her alma mater, Cordial was an
Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor at Trinity International
University, in Deerfield, Illinois. She returned with her husband,
Chuck (also a UW-L alum) and they now have a son, Noah. She enjoys
doing crafts in her free time, including candlemaking, knitting,
cross-stitch, and sewing to name a few.

Kari Emineth, MS, ATC, LAT
Assistant Athletic Trainer / Lecturer
Kari joined the athletic training staff at UWL in 2007, but has served as a clinical instructor with the Program since 2000. Her responsibilities include athletic training duties with women's soccer, indoor track and field, and softball along with teaching various classes, labs, and clinicals. Kari is an alumni of UW-L (M.S.)
