Gram and Gibson Earn WIAC Honors

Madison, Wis. – UW-La Crosse junior centerfielder Storm Gram of Woodbury, Minn. (H.S.) and sophomore right-hander Greg Gibson of Appleton (Xavier) have been selected the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Baseball Players of the Week.

Gram was named the position player of the week after going 14-for-33 (.424) on the Eagles' 10-game spring trip in Arizona. He scored 16 runs in 10 games played and added 14 RBI.

Gram also compiled six doubles, one home run and four steals. He had at least one hit in eight of 10 contests, including four multi-hit performances.

Gibson was selected the pitcher of the week after finishing with a 2-0 record on UW-L's spring trip. He compiled a 1.80 earned run average. Gibson pitched 6.0 innings in a 5-2 victory over St. John's University (Minn.) March 17, allowing two hits, one run and one walk with four strikeouts.

He then went 6.0 innings in a 7-4 win over Marian College (Wis.) March 22. Gibson allowed seven hits and one run while striking out nine.
