Behringer Wins Title at Luther Dual

For Immediate Release: Friday, Oct. 23, 2009

Decorah, Iowa - Michael Behringer took the individual title at the Luther College Dual Friday night as the UW-L men's cross country team fell to the host Norse. Behringer finished the four-mile course in a first-place time of 21:33.3.

Luther won the dual with 23 points while UW-La Crosse finished with 35.

The Eagles had three other runners place in the top-10 Friday night, including David Stilin finishing fourth (21:53.7), Mark Punzenberger eighth (22:11.3) and Thomas Reader 10th (22:13.2).

UW-L's Dan Buvid placed 12th (22:23.5) while Adam DePaolis was 13th (22:23.8), Broc Vike 14th (22:31.1), Josh Dedering 16th (22:43.3), Kaiser Behnke 18th (22:53.0), Phill Hernandez 19th (22:55.4) and Dayton Lueck 21st (23:11.8).
