UW-L Finishes Third at Neubauer Invite; Perleberg Places Second Overall

West Salem, Wis. – The UW-La Crosse women's cross country team finished third at the 16th Annual Tori Neubauer Invitational Saturday afternoon at Maple Grove Golf Course. The Eagles placed third with 130 team points while UW-Eau Claire won the team title with 51 points. Nebraska Wesleyan University was second with 108. UW-L is ranked ninth, UW-Eau Claire sixth and Nebraska Wesleyan 30th in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division III Poll.

North Dakota State University was fourth (140) Saturday and Wartburg College, Iowa fifth (154). South Dakota State University finished sixth (179) followed by the University of Minnesota (204), Luther College, Iowa (246), Iowa Central Community College (260) and St. Olaf College, Minn. (267) to round out the top-10. A total of 27 teams competed.

Stephanie Perleberg led UW-L Saturday with a second-place finish as she ran the 6,000-meter course in 21:50.7. Anna Kraayenbrink of Wartburg College repeated as individual champion with a winning time of 21:43.5.

UW-L's Katelyn Williams placed seventh overall (22:11.1) while Zoe Browne was 36th (22:55.4) and Alison Kolinski 39th (23:02.2).

Other runners finishing in the top-100 for the Eagles included Kriston Siemianowski 63rd (23:28.3), Meghan Dugan 67th (23:32.6), Ellen Kumm 82nd (23:38.2) and Rachel Boldt 90th (23:42.2).
