International Programs

The College of Business Administration recognizes the importance of possessing a strong global perspective in today's world.  We also recognize the important role that cultural understanding, ethics and human rights play in international relationships.  The college is a very strong supporter of international programs and study abroad.  We are proud of our diverse faculty and our international curriculum. 

Academic Programs

International Business Major

48-56 credits.  This program requires completion of the International Business major requirements, a functional business major, and an area studies requirement. This major requires demonstrated proficiency in a second language Majors must also complete one study abroad program prior to graduation.

International Business Minor

This minor is open to all UW-L students.  It is a 32 credit minor including six credits in history, eight credits in foreign language, 15 credits in professional business courses and three credits in selected electives. Students, especially non-business majors, must pay careful attention to the prerequisites for the professional business courses as stated in the course description.

International Management Track 

24 credits.  The track is open to students who are majoring in management.  The track provides proficiency in the subject matter essential for managing global businesses including cross cultural understanding, comparing, and evaluating alternative systems of management and applying behavioral skills necessary for effective international business management.

International Studies Minor

This is all colleges program.  It consists of 24 credits from approved curriculum, not including courses counted toward the major. Each student plans an individual course of study with approval of an international studies faculty adviser from their college.
