Activities Board is giving away a free IPod along with other
great prizes during the Ha Ha Tonka concert. This “foot
stoppin’ indie rock” band is sure to heat things up in
Valhalla, Cartwright Center Friday, February 8 at 7pm.
Roaring out of the Ozarks with a bottle in one hand and a
bible in the other, Ha Ha Tonka mix four-part harmonies and
sizzling rock, carving out songs that define their home. The
Springfield, Missouri natives dubbed their new album Buckle
in the Bible Belt in homage to their hometown. Their dark
view of the realities of socio-economic hardship, backwoods
prejudices and drug abuse is lightened by wry humor and
mixed with a deep appreciation for regional storytelling
traditions.
