Peace One Day: Blockparty featuring The Furlow Riders
Friday, September 21, 2012 @ 8:00 PM

To end the Peace
One Day week, La Crosse’s very own Furlow Riders
will play a celebratory concert at the Blue Cup
Coffee House at the corner of 14th and Pine
Streets across from the UW-La Crosse campus.
In celebration of the week, a portion of
the street will be blocked off and a block-party
style concert will ensue.
The concert will serve as a way to
highlight the importance of Peace One Day’s
message and also, to reflect on the past weeks
events. The Furlow Riders play classic blues
and rock-n-roll. Its members consist of UW-La
Crosse’s Chancellor, Joe Gow, Professor of
Psychology, Bart VanVoorhis, and Director of
Affirmative Action, Nizam Arain.
Event Location: Blue Cup Coffee House on the
corner of 14th and Pine Streets in La Crosse WI,
across from the UW-L campus
