Ariel Luckey is a hip hop theater artist whose community and performance work dances in the crossroads of education, art and activism.  Articulate, insightful and passionate, Ariel seamlessly weaves storytelling, spoken word poetry, dance, acting, and hip hop music in compelling narratives of personal and political transformation.  Free Land is a dynamic hip hop theater solo show written and performed by Ariel Luckey.  The show follows a young white man’s search for his roots as it takes him from the streets of Oakland to the prairies of Wyoming on an unforgettable journey into the heart of American history.

FurLow Riders

Hailed by the local press as "Probably UW-L's Coolest Band," the FurLow Riders consist of Joe Gow (yes, that Joe Gow) as lead singer and guitarist, Psychology Professor Bart VanVoorhis on the drums, and bass guitarist Nizam Arain, partner of Women's, Gender & Sexuality Studies Professor Mahruq Khan. They'll be performing your favorite traditional blues and blues-rock songs, from Muddy Waters to Jimi Hendrix and everything in between, along with some special surprises that you won't want to miss.
