FATIMA GULED
Hometown:
Cairo, Egypt / Appleton, WI
UW-L Major/Minor:
Pre-Physical Therapy
Future Goals/Aspirations:
I would love to travel the world and find all of life's
simplicity. I would like to see the beauty of the world and all
of its people. I want to learn about the meaning of life from
all different people and places. I would like to go out into the
world and get lost in life for a while. But most of all I want
to travel all over and make a change and in return be changed
for the better.
Favorite Activity/Hobby:
I love to be around people, play soccer, sing, dance, play/
listen music, and road trips. I also like being artistic!
Words to Live By:
Here are just a few...
"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about
learning to dance in the rain."
"Kindness is the language which that deaf can hear and the blind
can see."
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every
time we fall."
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest
fear is that we are powerful beyond measure."
"There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is
less than the one you are capable of living."
"Hakuna Matata"
Favorite ATP Memory:
Randomly breaking out into accents in the middle of
conversations, dancing around backstage, and the many facial
expressions that were made all week long!
When I think of Awareness through Performance, I think of...
A group of people that are motivated to make the world a better
place for everyone, that won't stop until everyone is truly seen
as equal.
Involvement with ATP has had this impact on me:
ATP has helped me realize the many different privileges that
people have that go deeper than race and gender. ATP helped me
become more open minded than I already was, and also gave me the
opportunity to try and see things from a new perspective and
many different angles. ATP has lit my passion for social justice
even more so than before.
