To never stop learning.
To always do my best.
To love what you do and do what you love.
One day I would like to write a book.
I like hanging out with friends, reading magazines, and walking my dog, Cierra. I also enjoy making homemade cards and gifts.
Words to Live By:
"Speak your mind, even if you voice shakes."
"Your silence will not protect you."
Favorite ATP Memory:
The first time the Faculty/Staff group did ATP for the Chancellor's Address we were nervous and scared. What if people don't like it? When we finished we all came out on stage to take a bow and I was amazed to see the faculty and staff giving us a standing ovation.
When I think of Awareness through Performance, I think of...
Change! The actors create skits to encourage change, change of heart, change of mind whatever. The audience comes in knowing that something is going to happen and they leave touched, changed in some way. ATP can be powerful!
Involvement with ATP has had this impact on me:
When I see or hear derogatory language or stereotypes used in ads or the media or by friends or family I cannot sit back and say or do nothing! I must act! To do nothing is equally as bad as the one saying the hurtful language!
