What is your first impression?

·         Professional attire, as we would expect when we interact with accounting students.  There is something blue on his sleeve, I don’t know if it is a tag he forgot to remove, but we have met students that still had tags on their clothes.

·         Positive impression, the only issues I see here (not a bit deal) his hands are in his pockets.  Relax your hands at your side, or carry a resume or portfolio with you.

·         Professional, prepared, well groomed, interested.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         Yes

·         Yes

·         Absolutely.  This leaves a solid impression for professional positions.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         Yes

·         Yes

·         Absolutely.  I recommend that men wear a suit and tie – at least a shirt and tie, but a suit and tie is appropriate for a professional services firm such as a public accounting firm.

What is your first impression?

·         Too casual for our environment.  Still looks nice and would be ok if he was coming for an office tour or lunch.

·         Solid first impression, okay for a career fair or casual meeting for introductions.

·         Business casual.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         Yes

·         I think this would be ok for a career fair but wouldn’t give that “wow” first impression that a suit and/or shirt and tie would.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No – need tie on.

·         In a professional services firm, this may be a bit too casual for an interview if you are meeting with partners/executive leadership.

What is your first impression?

·         Still looks nice, but not acceptable for our recruiting process.  We do have associates dress like this in our offices, but only if they are not visiting a client.

·         Just okay, he has his shirt tucked in, decent slacks and shirt; again good for a casual meeting.

·         Business casual.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         At one time it probably was, but if you want to set yourself apart, it’s probably not the look to go for.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No

·         In a professional services firm, something more professional versus business casual would be appropriate, so I would then recommend a tie.

What is your first impression?

·         Still looks nice and the outfit is coordinated well, but would only be acceptable on our casual Fridays.

·         Okay – good for casual interaction.

·         A bit too casual.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         It’s okay, but wouldn’t be a “wow” moment for an employer.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No

·         I would say that no, this is a bit too relaxed and casual for an interview, unless the company is casual.

What is your first impression?

·         He looks comfortable, but not acceptable in our environment. We do have periodic jeans days throughout the year, but even on those days we are not allowed to wear tennis shoes.

·         Way too casual.

·         Not professional.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         No

·         I would never recommend jearns for a career fair.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No

·         Absolutely not, especially in a professional firm.

What is your first impression?

·         Professional attire.  Skirt is correct length, heels are not too high.

·         Very professional, well dressed, would leave a great first impression.

·         Extremely professional.  The skirt is the correct length, the shoes are appropriate, the collar of the shirt is professional.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         Yes

·         This is wonderful and very professional.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         Yes

·         Yes

·         Absolutely – this is very professional.

·         Good impression as well.  Business like, put together.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         Yes

·         Yes

·         Absolutely, this is appropriate for a career fair.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         Yes

·         Yes

·         Yes, very appropriate.  The colors aren’t too bold, the neckline isn’t too low, etc.  This is very professional looking.

What is your first impression?

·         Casual attire.  Still appropriate for the office as it covers her shoulders and is not too low cut.  I can’t tell, but it looks like jeans, and that would be acceptable on a jeans day.

·         Too casual – must not be looking for a professional career.

·         I can’t tell from the picture if these are jeans or not.  If they are dress pants, then this is a professional look.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         No

·         If they are dress pants, yes, this is just fine for a career fair.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No

·         I would say that this is a bit too casual and messy for an interview.

What is your first impression?

·         Business casual attire, would be acceptable for the office, but on the verge of ok for a client.

·         Just okay…sloppy is a term that comes to mind.

·         A bit “frumpy”.  The longer untucked shirt is a bit messy looking.  The pants are a bit too long with the flat shoes.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         Okay, but not a game changer.

·         It would be, but wouldn’t make that solid first professional impression.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No

·         I may recommend a jacket for a professional firm.

What is your first impression?

·         Too short.  Heels are not appropriate for the workplace.  We allow open toe, but we mean more of a peep toe pump, not evening shoes.

·         Wow…but over the top – revealing.  Would ask her to tone it down.

·         Not all appropriate for a career event or interview.  The dress is way too short and the shoes are not appropriate.

Is this appropriate for a career fair?

·         No

·         Leaning toward no…some employers, fashion people, may like it.  But not in the finance world.  It’s not professional enough.

·         No, I would say definitely not.

Is this appropriate for an interview?

·         No

·         No

·         Absolutely not – not in my business anyway.
