Seminar in Adventure Education
In-depth examination of educational research in adventure education. Emphasis will be placed on using research to solve current problems, examining trends and contemporary issues in K-12 adventure programs. Reviewing research and using findings to solve problems in the public school setting will be stressed. WI Teacher Standards: 1 and 4

Curriculum Design in PE
This course will provide an in-depth review of a variety of traditional and contemporary curricular models for physical education. Topics relating to philosophical perspectives/belief systems inherent in various types of programs will be included. Additional emphasis will also be given to designing and producing an elementary, junior/middle, or high school curriculum for the future and the evaluation model which could be used to assess its effectiveness. Clinical Forum: "Alternative Strength and Conditioning Activities for Middle and High School Physical Education"
This class is designed to assist physical education teachers to design units and lessons in the area of alternative resistance training. Students will explore basic programming concepts, training principles and safety techniques. Emphasis will be on how to apply the concepts in physical education programs and working with equipment other than the traditional weight room implements. Add spice to your program with new approaches teaching strength and conditioning. Please come prepared to participate in activities. WI Teacher Standards: 1 and 4
