Call for Exhibitor Proposals for Exhibitor Fair

Conference Call for Proposals Deadline: February 14, 2014
Notifications will be sent out: February 21, 2014

New to the Student Development Conference in 2014 is an Exhibitor Fair for educational organizations that wish to showcase their organizations and connect with conference participants. The audience for the Exhibitor Fair includes college students majoring in education and high school students expressing an interest in majoring in education. Faculty and staff from Teacher Education programs at several UW-System campuses will also be in attendance. All student participants either come from underrepresented backgrounds or plan to pursue a teaching career in a high-needs content area (Math/Science/Technology, Special Education, ESL, etc.). The intent of the Exhibitor Fair is not to serve as a job fair or a sales opportunity but rather to raise awareness among conference participants of various educational organizations, teaching opportunities and professional development options.

Examples of exhibitors may include:

  • Professional Associations
  • School districts seeking to diversify their teaching personnel
  • Education non-profits whose missions align with the conference goals
  • Providers of professional development opportunities for teachers and future teachers

There is no cost to participate in the Exhibitor Fair. We are unable to provide lodging or other travel expenses to exhibitors, but have reserved a block of rooms at the conference hotel at the state rate for exhibitors that require overnight accommodations. Hotel and Travel Information.

The Exhibitor Fair will take place Saturday, March 8, 12:30 p.m. to 1:20 p.m., in between lunch and the first afternoon workshop. Exhibitors may begin setting up at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 8, in the Hall of Nations, UW-La Crosse.

Organizations interested in registering for the Exhibitor Fair should complete the call for exhibitor proposal submission online form by Friday, February 14. Exhibitors will be approved based on space availability and alignment with the purpose of the Exhibitor Fair. Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted, so applying before the February 14 deadline is advantageous.
