Elderhostel Program
The Julia Belle Swain will be our floating music hall, restaurant and classroom for each of the excursions on the Mississippi. One of only five steamboats now operating on the Mississippi, the Julia Belle Swain will provide a unique mode of transportation as well as spectacular scenery, relaxation and learning.
Five-day Excursion –
Overnight accommodations will be in Dubuque, Iowa, Prairie du Chien and
La Crosse, Wisconsin. Programming about the Mississippi River, steamboats on the river, Mark Twain's river adventures and music on the river will be offered during the cruise. Additionally, storytellers will be on deck sharing 'tales' and various aspects of the river. This program is offered in partnership with Elderhostel.
