Geared towards teachers and caregivers of infant/toddler and preschool aged children, this course is based upon the evidence based preschool training modules developed by The Center for Social and Emotional Foundations for Early Learning (CSEFEL). CSEFEL is designed to disseminate evidence based practices to improve social and emotional outcomes for young children with focused attention on effective procedures for addressing challenging behaviors. The WI Pyramid is a Response to Intervention (RtI) model aligned with school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) practices.
Participants in this course will explore 4 major themes and develop skills for their implementation:
- Building relationships
- Creating supportive learning environments
- Teaching social skills
- Developing individualized intensive interventions

A.EL & B.EL 1 & 2; C.EL 1-4
INTASC Standards: 1-3, 7, 8 & 10
Registration Deadline: Sept. 9, 2013 (first day of course)
The tuition plateau does not apply to students enrolling in undergraduate or graduate credit courses through the Office of Continuing Education and Extension.
