Meeting Minutes - November 14, 2008

-Gala Update

   +Theme/decorations

     *Wrap boxes for centerpieces

     *Masks for centerpieces

   +Funds for gala

    *No milk

    *Fruit punch and snacks during silent auction

    *Bring a canned good to the gala to donate to a food pantry

   +Speaker

    *Progress so far- Basket of organic and peaberry’s gift certificate, dermatology skin samples, dental basket, scrapbooking greeting cards, vase, stationary package, girl scouts- cookie basket?, gift certificate from hackberry’s, handmade jewelry, birdhouse, hot chocolate basket, baking basket, paper goods basket, kitchen basket, drawstring bag from the YMCA and a college membership to the YMCA.

-Letter with Schedule

   +Will be available in class and in Kathy Olson's office

   +Will have schedule of events in the letter

   +Will also have a directions sheet and itinerary on website

-Relay for Life

   +Team is going online

   +Meeting tonight after meeting

   +Get donations from family and friends

   +Rummage sale on December 8th

   +Donations for the rummage sale- anything would be appreciated!

   +Anything not sold will go to the Salvation Army

-Cookbook

   +Has been proof read

   +56 pages

   +Will be getting printed soon

   +Selling in Cartwright for Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th from 11am-2pm.

-Rotary Lights

   +This Thursday, November 20th

   +Need more people from 12-3pm. Need 4-6 people per shift. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN.

   +Must sign in when you get there- in a white trailer, ask if you’re unsure

   +Sign in at the entrance of the park

   +Call Steph or Gina if you need help or are unsure when you get there.

   +Anyone willing and wanting to go see the lighting of the Rotary Lights around 7pm for Eta Sigma Gamma- Star name on sign up if you want to go

   +May need to check lights to see if they are all lit over break

   +Decorate the ESG tree on next Sunday, November 23rd from 1pm-3pm

-Senate Update

   +Amethyst Initiative failed with a vote of 14-19-1

   +Get out and vote results- ward 5 (campus ward) had the most votes cast out of all the wards

   +Board of Regents will be on campus on December 4th and 5th- It’s a great experience and you get to hear some of the things that are going on in the UW-System. I will send out more details as I get them.

   +New SAH Senator- Megan Knutson- Junior Fitness Major

-Announcements

   +Fitness Fridays at the Onalaska School District around 10:45-12:30

   +Contact Chelsea Zess if you’d like to volunteer

   +Check your emails frequently for gala updates
