1. The meeting was called to order at 2:00 p.m.
2. Discussion continued regarding the grievance petition that was introduced at the 5-15-03 meeting of CGAAF. After further consideration of the petition and the written response from the faculty member named in the grievance, the committee passed the following motion:
M/S/P: Based on the correspondence received by the committee, the committee rejects the case on the basis that
a. the accusations do not fall within the guidelines of what constitutes a grievance per UWL 6.02(2).
b. a good-faith effort toward informal resolution at the department level has not been made per UWL 6.02(3).
The committee urges both parties to work with the department chair to seek an informal resolution to the problem.
