The P-T program wants to have an updated curriculum in place for students who enter this summer in case the DPT is not approved in a timely manner. The entering class of 2005 will enroll as MSPT students and if the DPT gets approved, they will be given the option to move to the new DPT or to stay with the MSPT program. The curriculum is the same until Fall II. The MSPT will not be a degree option for classes beginning after the DPT is approved. The revised MSPT does not offer a thesis option nor a level 2 option. The revised curriculum will use the current 773, 774, 776 4-credit internship courses instead of the recently approved 800 level internship courses.
M/S/P to waive the second reading and approve the proposal.
Change the DPT prefix to PTS.
This applies to all courses offered by the physical therapy program. PTS is independent of a particular degree.
M/S/P to approve.
