2. Second Readings:
R-T 340 and R-T Program change – Withdrawn.
Social
Studies Minor-Middle Childhood/Early Adolescence, changed required courses to
HIS 210, HIS 321, GEO 201 OR GEO 110, ARC 100, OR SOC 202, POL 101, POL
102, ECO 1110, EFN 200. Change credits to 25 from 22.
M/S/P to approve.
3. First Readings:
Proposal #1. MIC 440/540, BioInformatics, 2 cr. Change prerequisites to BIO 306 or MIC 416 from BIO 306 or MIC 230 (BIO 435 or MIC 416 recommended).
Postponed until October 25, 2005 meeting.
Proposal #2. Geography Major:
Geographic Information Science Concentration, 52 credits, including ESC 101; GEO
110, 201, GEO/ESC 250, GEO/ESC 345, GEO 401; GEO/ESC 445, 455, 481, GEO
485, MTH 145; two courses from ESC 221, 222, GEO/ESC 323, 343, 422, 425, 426,
427, 460; one course from GEO 300, 309, 409; one course from GEO/ESC 390, 440,
445, 451, 455; three credits from GEO 450, 490, 499; and 305;
C-S 120, and 224, and GEO/ESC electives.
Committee asked dept. to inform C-S and MTH that courses were being eliminated from major.
This was a first reading. There will be a second reading.
4. Consent Agenda:
CHM 309, Physical Chemistry Theory I,
change course description, prerequisites. Real gases, equations of state,
kinetic and molecular theory, properties of gases, quantum chemistry,
molecular energies, classical thermodynamics, chemical equilibria, changes of
state and reaction kinetics and mechanisms. Prerequisites: CHM 104, PHY 104 or
PHY 203 PHY 204, MTH 208.
M/S/P to approve consent agenda.
5. SAH student appeal to have a transfer course count as HIS 101 or HIS 102 in General Education.
No action taken.
6. The correct version of the LX 138C form revision was distributed and will be discussed at the next meeting.
