M/S/P, approve minutes of 11/1/10, voice vote, unanimous
Student Appeal, accept transfer for Math requirement for GE; student presentation, discussion following; M/S/D, voice vote, unanimous
Chair’s report:
- LX-140 is updated (and on-line) to reflect last year’s changes in GE categories & SLOs
- charge to GEAC f/FS; proposal to continue GEAC as standing committee, under GEC, with minor change in membership (suggested that the at-large GEAC member be a GEC member)
Review of Assessment Data, Category III, “Aesthetic”
- 2nd year shift shows more positive rating, contrast to categories I & II (Human & Natural Worlds; Critical & Creative)
- 2nd year has large # students in III-2, none previous year: responsible for effect (classes switching SLO)?
