Graduate Entrance Loan Counseling
IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Before receiving a federal student loan, borrowers MUST complete an Entrance Loan Counseling session. (If you have previously had either a Federal Stafford Loan or a Federal Direct Loan, you have already met this obligation. However, if you are applying for your first Direct Graduate PLUS Loan, you will need to complete this session).This online session will take about 20-30 minutes to complete.
Graduate students should complete
the Combination - Stafford and PLUS Loans counseling.
You should have your Department of Education
PIN (the one used to sign the FAFSA) handy.
When you are asked to
select the school that
should be notified, you should:
1. Click on Add a School
2. For school name, enter
Wisconsin
3. This will bring up a list of schools in
Wisconsin and you will see University of Wisconsin - La Crosse
listed. Choose this by marking the circle in front of our
school's name.
Once you have completed the entire process, be sure to choose "Show Form for Printing" and print out a copy of the form for your own records.
