    PACKING CHECK LIST
Please follow this list as closely as possible, it is designed as a checklist.  The items listed are to help keep you comfortable in the outdoors.

    FOOTWEAR
___Dry camp shoes- (SHORT HIKING BOOTS OR TENNIS SHOES)
___Wet travel shoes- (OLD TENNIS SHOES)
    Backpackers
___Hiking Boots - Do not bring brand new boots they will give you blisters.  If purchasing new boots, give yourself at least two weeks to break them in.  Wear them everyday...go hiking in them, wear them around the house etc.  Blisters are bad and can ruin your experience.
___Liner socks - 2 pair, these are very simple and thin socks that help prevent blisters example
___Wool/synthetic outer socks -2 pair, so you always have a dry pair to change into, one respected brand is smart wool but there are also many others out there.

Here  is a nice article from rei about selecting backpacking socks

    CLOTHING
