The Hmong Organization Promoting Education (HOPE) was created by the Hmong students at UW-L. We recognized that Hmong students come from a background where formal education is nonexistent. HOPE was created because there was a need to address specific issues such as cultural conflicts, language barriers, identity crises among youth, and pressures to assimilate concerning the Hmong student. HOPE will assist the needs of future educators at UWL and promote an awareness of the Hmong culture in the La Crosse Community. We believe you can be a part of this plan.
