Job Duties
This person reports to the Client Services Manager, working within the established goals and priorities that are consistent with that of Client Services and Information Technology Services. This position works, as needed, in a variety of roles, such as primary support and application administrator. This person also fulfills a variety of needs such as; researching, recommending, deploying, integrating and/or maintaining a wide variety of existing and future applications, software solutions, and hardware for the UW-La Crosse Student Affairs Division.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge and experience administrating and supporting enterprise level software solutions; with applications testing and problem solving; of software standards including XML, HTML, etc.; with database structures, SQL, and other database technologies including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server; in developing technical documentation and end user materials; in designing and conducting technical training sessions; the ability to communicate clearly and have a clear understanding, work ethic, and personality to provide end users understandable, friendly and timely support; and to troubleshoot and effectively resolve problems.

Application Procedure

If you wish to apply for these positions you will be required to complete an online exam and upload a current resume with reference information.

Applying is a 7 step process.

Step 1: Log into your Wisc.Jobs account or create an account using the following web site: http://wisc.jobs/public/index.asp Search for the Job announcement code 1300823 and go into the announcement.
Step 2: Open the job announcement that you were on previously and click on “Apply Now” at the top or bottom of the screen. Review the information in the “My Job Application”, make any necessary updates and click on “Submit Personal Information.”
Step 3: Complete the information on the Employment Information and Preferences screen. This must be completed to apply for this recruitment. Once complete click the “Update Employment Preferences”.
Step 4: Attach your resume to your application. If you don’t have a resume downloaded to your job cart yet, follow the instructions on the page to do so.
Step 5: At the “Application Detail” screen click on the “View Exam Option” button, and then the “Take Exam” button on the next screen.
Step 6: You must save your responses on each page. Please note that WiscJobs will time out after 20 minutes if the page you are working on has not been completed and saved and the answers on that page will need to be re-entered. This will not affect your answers on previous pages.
Step 7: When you have completed the exam click the '"Save and Finalize" button. At the next screen click "Finalize". After you have finalized your exam, you will be sent an email by the system confirming that your exam has been completed. If you exit the exam and re-enter later to update your answers, you will need to save each page and finalize or your answers may not be recorded. After you have finalized your exam, you will be sent an email by the system confirming that your exam has been completed.

The previous publication date was March 1, 2013.  The previous due date was March 11, 2013.  The online application and exam must be completed by Monday, April 29, 2013.
