    Ordering Computer Technology at UWL

    January 25th, 2016

Purchasing computers, mobile devices and printers

End users can purchase computer technology by two methods:

    1. Purchasing computers, laptops, mobile devices, tablets/iPads, monitors and printers through our campus on-line order process at: https://uwlacrosse.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_erMH33u8bTDw860, or
    2. Computer peripherals through our recommended e-Commerce web portal through CDW-g at: www.cdwg.com/uwl

Our on-campus purchasing process is tied to a Qualtrics survey.  Simply select the necessary hardware and accessories and your order is automatically forwarded to the UWL Purchasing for processing. If you have specific questions about selecting items for purchase, you are encouraged to contact your dedicated IT professional staff in ITS. If you have additional questions, feel free to call Jim Jorstad, Director of Client Services, jjorstad@uwlax.edu.

    Ordering Computer Technology Peripherals

ITS has developed an e-Commerce web portal with CDW-g,  a leading provider of integrated information technology solutions This web portal was created specifically to assist UWL end users to quickly and efficiently find and purchase computer peripherals.  This recommended web site will provide account information, product offerings, and contract pricing for over 150,000 technology products through CDW-g. Many of the items allowable for purchase have been recommended or preselected by ITS. CDW-g’s just-in-time inventory and multiple distribution centers will help to ensure you have the products and solutions available for delivery when you need them. Shipping is free and products are shipped by the quickest and more economical method.

To utilize this e-commerce site, you must obtain an invitation from ITS to create an initial user account.  After you receive a confirming e-mail from CDW-g, you will need to log in and create a new password.

This new e-commerce web site will provide the mechanism for you to purchase IT peripherals and software $500 or less per item, and up to $5000 per order, based upon your department and specific account number. Since this site is primarily intended for peripherals, purchases of desktop/laptop computers or tablets are not permitted by end users. Apple products cannot be purchased from this site. You can create e-quotes, and for individual items over $500, you should work with either ITS and/or Purchasing to consummate your order. The new web site will be at: www.cdwg.com/uwl. You will need to have an official account before you can order.
