Certification Options
ME-PD Initial Certification Students can seek licensure in one of the following four tracks:
- EC-MC: Early Childhood through Middle Childhood (PreK- Grade 6)
- Students must complete coursework for Elementary Education and the Early Childhood Education Minor.
- MC-EA: Middle Childhood through Early Adolescence (Grades 1-9)
- Students must complete coursework for Elementary Education and at least one MC-EA Certifiable Minor.
- EA-A: Early Adolescence through Adolescence (Grades 6-12)
- Students must complete coursework for at least one EA-A Certifiable Major in addition to Requirements in Professional Education. Students may also elect to complete requirements for one or more EA-A Certifiable Minor.
- EC-A: Early Childhood through Adolescence (PreK- Grade 12)
- Students must complete coursework from at least one EC-A Certifiable Major in addition to Requirements in Professional Education.
