All ME-PD Initial Certification candidates are required to take the following core courses:

EFN 701: The Teacher and the Educational Community (3 credits)

EFN 705: Human Relations in School and Society (3 credits)

PSY 710: Educational Psychology: Human Development (3 credits)

PSY 770: Educational Psychology: Learning and Instruction (3 credits)

EFN 760: Theory and Practice in Educational Research (3 credits)

SPE 501: Introduction to Exceptional Individuals* (3 credits)

RDG 710: Reading and Language Arts in the Middle School (3 credits)**

*Not required for licensure candidates in Special Education.

**Not required for licensure candidates in Music Education.
