Facilitator Selection Criteria

Required Criteria

  1. Master’s Degree in education or education related field

  2. Any teaching experience within PK-16

  3. Evidence of expertise in program curricular areas: learning in community, educational research, best practice pedagogy, curriculum development and assessment, diversity and social issues in education, technology in education, teacher leadership

  4. Commitment to the two-year duration of a learning community

  5. Evidence of effective written and oral skills

  6. Evidence of strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills

  7. Be knowledgeable about and have ready access to technology

  8. Ability to collaborate successfully with colleagues and students

  9. Evidence of teacher/educational leadership

  10. Ability and willingness to travel

Preferred Criteria

  1. Teaching experience within PK-12

  2. Experience leading staff development

  3. Evidence of work with program assessment

  4. Ability to mentor colleagues and students

  5. National Board Certification

References

  1. Strength of recommendations

Interview

  1. Demonstration of required knowledge, skills and dispositions.

  2. Candidate demonstrates collaboration, leadership, authenticity and communications skills.
