Seminar Paper
The ME-PD Seminar Paper is one of three options students may choose for their Culminating Project. Students should work with a faculty member to design an in-depth project based on the content area or interest of the student’s choosing. The Seminar Paper is a graduate-level paper written and submitted to report and reflect upon the student’s project work.
Example projects include:
- Literature Reviews
- Action Research
- Critical Reviews
- Individual Research/Professional Development
The final paper must be presented to the Seminar Paper Advisor and ME-PD Director.
ME-PD Seminar Paper Process Steps:
- Meet with your advisor and/or faculty members to discuss the content and design of your project or research.
- Once a project has been planned, choose a faculty member (must have Graduate Faculty status) to serve as your Seminar Paper Advisor. The ME-PD Office maintains a current record of Graduate Faculty status.
- Complete the Seminar Paper Advisor Form, obtaining all necessary signatures, and submit to ME-PD for processing. A completed copy will be mailed to the student for recordkeeping.
- Work closely with your Seminar Paper Advisor throughout the project and the writing of your final paper.
- When the project and seminar paper are complete, schedule and execute the presentation of your Seminar Paper with your Seminar Paper Advisor and the ME-PD Director.
- Complete the Seminar Paper Approval Form and submit to ME-PD for processing. A completed copy will be mailed to the student for recordkeeping.
